Great website and beautiful looking models. I have the Foochow Pole Junk on order - to be painted as the one illustrated in my grandfathers ( Ivon A Donnelly) book "Chinese Junks and Other Native Craft".

Obviously there is a lot of "junk" knowledge and enthusiasm residing here.

Great website. Paul currently making two models of a 1898 Rhode Island designed 27 foot Gaff Rigged Yawl for myself and friends. One of the original Sea Birds sailed the Atlantic from Rhode Island to Gibraltar in 44 days in 1903. Three men with a 3 hp kerosene in-board as back-up. Our Sea Bird sank in Typhoon York in Hong Kong in 1999. Picture of model looks very accurate.

Model looks terrific - met all my expectations.Sits as the center piece amongst other junk models I have collected and books about junks , the Yangtze etc around the time my grandfather Ivon Donnelly was there ( and writing and illustrating his books on junks). Paul was great to deal with - took lots of interest and was very helpful.Now thinking about what to have him build next !
