ABILITIES

Paul D. Tarrant in 2003 - based on a lifetime of experience in sailing & mechanical engineering & being married to a Vietnamese woman - decided to create a quality marine business in Vietnam designing & building commercial & pleasure craft and specializing in traditional Chinese sailing junks using modern materials.

As part of our design & construction for a vessel we make models.  We use our model making to keep alive SE Asian & Chinese maritime heritage.

We are sail makers of Chinese junk sails and build the world's first Chinese junk rigged land yacht.

Tara Group sales, marketing, vessel design & project management are the sole responsibility of Tara in Hong Kong.

Tara Co. Ltd. owns & operates jet ski adventure tours www.jetskivietnam.com in Hoi An, Vietnam

Since August 2007 Tara Vietnam provides sales, servicing & spare parts of all leading marine engines & equipment to our customers.  Because we are Operators we are able to select best available equipment & motors - we are independent of brand name.

In January 2007  Tara Vietnam was appointed as the Central Vietnam Authorized Dealer for Yamaha Marine providing sales, service & spares for marine products including jet skis, outboard engines, inboard diesels and others. 

In 2004 - 2005 Tara HK in cooperation with Tara VN built a 16 metre "Tara 16" wooden motorsailor exported to Hong Kong. 

In 2003 Tara Vietnam started building model ships in Vietnam for export. 

Today Tara Vietnam builds & repairs custom vessels, models, sails & land yachts which are exported & sold in Vietnam.  Website www.taravn.com
